You can easily estimate the weight of bar used in construction using this rebar weight calculator.

**How to use Rebar Weight Calculator**

The procedure to use rebar weight calculator is very easy. The steps to use rebar weight calculator as given below.

- There are no require to measure dimension of reinforcement bar because standard size of bar available in market.
- Simply enter diameter of bar and length of bar to calculate unit weight of rebar (please enter diameter in mm and length of bar in m).
- Enter the no of bar if you want calculate the rebar weight in combos.
- Finally, the result will be shown in kg and kg/m.
- If you select feet unit then you will get result in kg and kg/ft.

**Standard Sizes and Weight of Reinforcing Bars**

**Formula of Rebar Weight Calculation**

You can calculate unit weight of rebar using following equation.

**W = (D ^{2}/162) x L**

Where,

D = Diameter of Bar (mm)

L = Length of Bar (m)

Let’s understand this formula by simple example.

**Ex : **Calculate the weight of rebar having diameter of 10 mm and length 12 m.

W = (D^{2}/162) x L

W = (10^{2}/162) x 12 = 7.41 kg

Now calculate the weight per meter.

W = 7.41/12 = 0.62 kg/m

We hope that this example has cleared your all doubts.
